Welcome to Shinjuku Green Tower Internal Medicine Clinic

Internal Medicine at our clinic provides medical care for adults and the elderly. It is available for patients who can speak Japanese or English. Our internal medicine physicians provide comprehensive care for both routine and chronic conditions. We focus on the wellness of the whole body, not just one system or area.

Our Internal Medicine physicians are trained to treat a large variety of conditions. Some of these include:

  • Allergies (i.e. hay fever, or  allergic rhinitis)
  • Anemia
  • Angina pectoris
  • Arrhythmia (palpitation, or syncope)
  • Common cold
  • Diabetes
  • Dyslipidemia (i.e. high cholesterol)
  • Heart failure (dyspnea)
  • Hypertension
  • Infections (include a common cold)
  • Gastrointestinal problems
  • Thyroid diseases
  • Lung problems (i.e. asthma or emphysema)
  • Kidney disease
  • Peripheral vascular disease (arteriosclerotic obliterans)
  • Sleep apnea syndrome

Billing and Insurance at Shinjuku Green Tower Internal Medicine Clinic

① For long-term residents who have Employee Health Insurance (kenkô hoken) or National Health Insurance (kokumin kenkôhoken) in Japan

There are two types of health insurance available to those living in Japan. All persons living in the country–both citizens and expats with long-term visas–are required by law to enroll in either an Employee Health Insurance (kenkô hoken) or the country's National Health Insurance (kokumin kenkˆhoken).

② For short-term residents who do not have these health insurances

You will consult a doctor with medical expenses not covered by insurance for long-term residents, and be required to pay with cash in Japanese currency or credit card at the front desk after your examination is over.

Reservations

Please don’t make a phone call because we always don’t have a call-talker in English.
The internet reservation system in Japanese is available for all patients. Also, you can consult a doctor without appointment, if you can wait a while. After first consultation, you can make an appointment at the front desk.

Our clinic is actually located on the 2nd floor of Sinjuku Green Tower Building which can be reached on foot within 13 minutes form from Shinjuku Station (JY17, JC05, JB10, JS20, JA11, OH01, KO01, S01, M08, E27), or 5 minutes from Nishi-Shinjuku Station (M07) or Tochōmae Station (E28).
